Poster Content Submission Guidelines

As part of the 2024 CAER-IFPRI Annual Conference, we invite participants to focus solely on creating detailed and informative text for their posters. The conference team will handle all aspects of design and layout to ensure a professional and uniform presentation.

Content Requirements:

Please use the provided Poster_Template_2024_CAER_IFPRI_Conference.docx to organize and format your content. To ensure clarity and effectiveness in your poster presentation, we encourage you to use bullet points wherever possible. This helps in emphasizing core ideas and makes the information easier to digest for viewers.

· Introduction (100-150 words): Provide context for your research. Why you are excited about it?

· Objectives (50-100 words): What specific questions were you aiming to address or answer through your research?

· Methods(100-150 words): Key information on your research design and analysis. Keep it brief.

· Results & Discussion(150-200 words): What was observed? How do the results relate to the original questions? Focus on the key points.

· Conclusions(100-150 words): What did you learn?

Replace text with graphical elements as much as possible (e.g., photographs or maps of study's location, other visual aids to convey key results), but do not forget your complete contact information. Consider including a photograph of the presenting author.

Image Guidelines:

· Limit the Number of Images: Aim for 3-5 images total, including graphs, charts, and photographs. This helps maintain a balance between visual appeal and informational content.

· Relevance and Quality: Ensure each image directly supports or enhances the narrative of your poster. Images should be high resolution and clearly visible from a reasonable distance.

· Captions: Provide a brief caption for each image, explaining its relevance and how it relates to the text content.

· Placement: Strategically place images near the related text to facilitate a natural flow of information.

Review Example Posters: To assist you in structuring your content effectively, we have provided examples of successful posters from previous conferences. These examples demonstrate how to effectively use text and suggest graphics to communicate research findings clearly and engagingly.
